Town of Lomira, Dodge County, Wisconsin
The Town of Lomira is located in the far northeast corner of Dodge County bordered on the north and east by Fond du Lac County. The villages of Lomira and Brownsville are within its borders. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.4 square miles (89.0 km2), all of it land and a population of 1,099 (2020 Census). The Town maintains 36.1 mi. of rural highways.
The Town Hall/Garage is located near the unincorporated village of Knowles on County Road AY. Town board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

State Road 49 Road Project
Construction will take place in 2029 to improve State Rd 49 from Hwy I-41 to Center Drive.
Reasons for Project:
The roadway is aged and deteriorated with cracking. Replacing the pavement will improve ride quality.
Improvements Include:
Replace the pavement
Widen the paved shoulder between Center Drive and WIS 175
Install rumble strips on the paved shoulder between Center Drive and WIS 175
Replace the curb and gutter at Center Drive and STH 175
Replace a culvert on WIS 49 next to the railroad tracks
Replace the side road culverts on Center Drive and Pole Road
Replace the flashing beacons at WIS 175

Public Hearing-Amendment to Comprehensive Plan
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Committee of the Dodge County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Dodge County Comprehensive Plan. The public hearing will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 7:05 pm or shortly thereafter on the First Floor (Meeting Rooms 1H and 1I) of the Administration Building, Juneau, Wisconsin.
The Dodge County Comprehensive Plan is a policy document that is used by the County Board of Supervisors and the County Land Resources and Parks Committee as a guide for making decisions regarding land use and development in the County. The plan contains background information and goals, objectives, policies and recommendations addressing each of the nine (9) plan elements required by Wisconsin's Comprehensive Planning legislation.
Amendments are being proposed to the Future Land Use Map, Dodge County, Wisconsin, which is Map 8-2 of the Dodge County Comprehensive Plan. The map amendments will be available for review at the Land Resources and Parks Department on the third floor of the County Administration Building in Juneau and on the Department website at https://www.co.dodge.wi.gov/mainlrp.
Residents are encouraged to review the plan amendment and to submit oral and/or written comments prior to the public hearing. Written comments may be sent to the Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Department at 127 E Oak Street, Juneau, WI 53039 or by e-mail to [email protected] no later than October 9, 2026.

Variance Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Dodge County Board of Adjustment on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. or shortly thereafter on the First Floor (Meeting Rooms 1H and 1I) of the Dodge County Administration Building, Juneau, Wisconsin on the appeal of Mueller Farms of Lomira LLC for variance requests was submitted by the applicant to allow construction of a barn with a waste transfer system that does not meet the 350 foot ATCP setback. The proposed waste transfer system will be 303 feet from the property line or 47 feet within the required setback thus prohibited by the Code. This is a variance to Subsections 5.1 .2 and 5.1.3 of the Dodge County Land Use Code.

A copy of the proposed petition is available for review in the County Land Resources and Parks Department between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday (920-386- 3700).
